By Order of the Catskill Town Board,
Elizabeth C. Izzo
Catskill Town Clerk
Supervisor Markou asked if anyone would like to be heard on this matter. Ms. Jaworski approached the Board. Linda Speckman approached the Board and submitted pictures of Ms. Jaworski’s property that were taken on May 6th. The property owner submitted receipts from the landfill dated April 19-22.
Ms. Speckman stated that Ms. Jaworski was first cited on February 6, 2008. Ms. Jaworski contended that at that time, everything was frozen, even up to last month, and she was not able to attend to her yard. She stated that she has granite, marble, and ceramic tile on the property that is underneath tarps.
Councilman Smith asked what Code’s position was on this case. Ms. Speckman stated that she is not satisfied that the property has not been cleaned up. Ms. Jaworski stated she is doing everything she can. She is doing this by herself and will need another three weeks.
Councilman Smith asked Ms. Speckman’s recommendations. She stated that if the property is cleaned up within three weeks; that will be acceptable. If the property is not cleaned up within three weeks, then an appearance ticket should be issued.
Councilman Smith asked the property owner if this is acceptable. Ms. Jaworski reviewed what was in her yard (granite, ceramic tile, marble, and roofing).
Supervisor Markou stated to Ms. Jaworski that she has three weeks to clean up her yard or an appearance ticket will be issued.
Councilman Smith reiterated to Ms. Jaworski to take this matter seriously.
With no further discussion, Supervisor Markou asked for a motion to adjourn the meeting. Motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Smith and seconded by Councilman Walsh. Meeting ended at 5:55 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Elizabeth Izzo
Town Clerk
