The Town of Catskill is considering applying to the Governors Office for Small Cities to undertake a first time homebuyers program that will provide opportunities for eligible applicants to purchase a new home. The Town intends use the grant to acquire a parcel that can accommodate at least 20 building lots. The Town will also utilize the funds to subdivide the land and install water and septic for each building lot. The lots will then be transferred over to program applicants at no charge. The Town is currently identifying builders and
lenders that will enable each program participant to build a home on the lot at an affordable level. Applicants must be first time homebuyers and have household incomes below the following limits:
